(2) Tell us a little bit about you…
I’m a 20 – year old Music Business senior at Anderson University. I’m on staff at Madison Park Church, just north of Indianapolis as the Modern Worship Leader. I’m getting married in May of 2011, and can’t wait!
(3) Where can we find your music?
iTunes, Live shows, and my online store at www.johntibbsmusic.com.
(4) Do you have a favorite song that you have written… and why? Or choose one and talk about the inspiration behind it…
Remedy – It’s different than most worship songs. It’s very intimate, in contrast to the regular corporate worship. It’s about silencing the noise around us that drowns out the joy and truth, and finding Christ, and finding ourselves in Him.
(5) Are you working on new music now?
I’m always writing!
(6) Who are your musical influences?
Influences include: Augustana, Aaron Gillespie, Jon Foreman, John Mayer, and Kanye West. Not so much their music, but each of them have such a creative mind, and that is what I really value, creativity. The church needs more of that.
(7) Who are your favorite Christian music artists?
Audrey Assad, Robbie Seay, John Mark McMillan, and Sons & Daughters
Check out this week’s podcast, where we are having a contest where we are giving away THREE digital downloads of John’s worship album “Origins!”
